Much through May at the Moat

When it comes to shows the Moat Theatre in Naas is full of them, writes the theatre's assistant manager Celine Garvey.

The Brian Brady Youth Theatre presents 'Grease!' from 9-13 May, at 7.30pm with a Matinee on Saturday. Featuring the hit songs 'Greased Lightnin’,' 'You’re The One That I Want' and 'Summer Nights', you know it’s the one that you want!

'Da' By Hugh Leonard is brought to the stage on 17 May at 8pm. A very funny but rather tender play set in Dublin after the burial of Charlie’s (Joe Murphy) father, it is brought to the stage by The Fourth Wall Theatre Company.

'Ceola Ireland', comprising of an adult choir and a children’s choir, launched in the Moat Theatre in Naas for 2017 under the musical direction of Ciara Dunne. You can experience an afternoon of fabulous music live at The Moat on Sunday 20 May at 3pm.

The Film Club brings you 'The Killing of a Sacred Deer' on 21 May with Colin Farrell and Nicole Kidman. On 25 May Chomaltas returns, presenting Irish music through the years.

Lots of top class entertainment too from 'Shout!' on 30 May, a nostalgic nod to London’s Swinging Sixties. It unfolds like a musical magazine and travels in time through the decades, chronicling the dawn of liberation of women. 'Shout!' and its all-female cast reflect that change through the unforgettable music of the era.

And to top it all off, they have two exclusive gigs — Rebecca Storm comes back to the Moat on 2 June while Celine Byrne takes to the stage on 13 July before she heads to The USA.
